Project: NGTOS (Next Generation Terminal Operating System) (Oct 2022- Sep 2025) Client: Wabtec USA Description: NGTOS aimsto enhance operational efficiency and increase productivity, ultimately improving hostler utilization and potentially increasing capacity. Role and Responsibilities: Java Backend Developer • Developed and maintained 15+ Backend Microservices and 3 Common Libraries adhering to Google Standard code check Style, with focus on High throughput and optimized design. • Developed and documented Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for multiple features, collaborating closely with client-side senior developers to address high-priority production issues. • Contributed to client-side scrum calls, leveraging strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and provide effective solutions based on a comprehensive understanding of project workflows. • Resolved a critical production outage caused by a memory leak, Identified and implemented a solution to prevent future occurrences, ensuring service availability. • Optimized complex SQL queries to prevent High DB CPU spike, leveraged my understanding of Radis caching and java lambda functions to filter data at application layer and reduce DB calls. • Optimized inter-service API communication, resulting in a 50% reduction in response time. Implemented a more efficient data retrieval strategy using Rest Template to handle the response as a single string, avoiding the overhead of parsing multiple JsonNodes.
